"The Square Apartments" building is projected to be class A in energy efficiency. The attached certificate which is registered in the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development shows that the total energy consumption for all building needs (lighting, heating, cooling, etc.) will not exceed 92 kWh/m2/year, which is more than 2 times lower than the new buildings in Sofia and 2,5 to 3 times lower than the panel buildings built in the 1980s of the last century in Sofia.
One of the main advantages of the “The Square Apartments” building is the fact that the investors will build a photovoltaic power plant on the roof of the building that will produce more than 73 000 kWh of clean energy per year on site. It will cover the consumption of all energy consumers in the common areas of the building and the rest of the electricity will be returned to the grid, contributing to the reduction of the net electricity consumption of the building. The future apartment owners will not pay for electricity of the common areas and in this way will reduce the expenses of maintaining the building significantly.
The investors also plan to install solar-parametric street and park lighting that will not draw energy from the grid and thus will provide coziness, security and aesthetics without paying electricity for that.
